Slow Load Blurb…
It’s not the military or soldiers that I have objections against (or any type of resent for), it’s the war, and political surroundings that I don’t support.
I have a strong dislike for people that hate on soldiers.
When the war started (during the Bush administration), I was against it from the outset. The big red fight button isn’t the first thing to push, because there is no reversing the sheer amount of damage and destruction war ushers in (especially psychologically). Both sides loose, despite political agreements. There is no true “peace” after “war”.
At that time, anyone (including me) that posed any type of objection, or voiced complaint, where immediately shot down and told “if you don’t like it then leave the country”. I did.
Moving back the same people that thought the war was a great idea now object it, but they go the extra mile to hate on the soldiers. This type of mindset is, at the very least, a human rights violation in itself.
You take a man, train him to be a killer, send him out to actually kill for something you initially thought was a good idea (killing changes a man - this is not reversible), then change your mind about it, and hate on him when he comes home.
There’s something wrong with this picture.
